Description of Product
NOSECAMO is a concentrated detergent made from a unique blend of ingredients designed to assist the user in blending into the background..a powerful biodegradable synthetic detergent that rinses freely and leaves no residue is the base.

Tom Blimkie aka Ol Tom is a regular contributor to the Forums on Graybeard Outdoors especially the Single Shot Rifle Forum. He lives way off up in the frozen north land of Canada and has worked in the cleaning chemical industry over twenty years and has been hunting for over 40 years. He has now combined the knowledge gained in both fields to develop his unique product he calls NOSECAMO.

NOSECAMO is a concentrated cleaning solution that you use to wash your hunting clothes. Only 2 - 4 oz. of NOSECAMO is sufficient for a regular wash load. No rinsing is required and he does not recommend drying in your dryer but rather hanging to drip dry and then storing the clothes in the special heavy bag supplied with the product for that purpose. This helps to retain the woodsy smell that NOSECAMO imparts to the clothes. To my nose it sorta smells like pine trees. Tom recommends ½ oz. NOSECAMO in a quart spray bottle as an excellent refresher for use out in the field where in Tom's words "a quick spray will put the background in front of you."

NOSECAMO is designed to clean, deodorize and impregnate your outdoor clothing with a fresh pine scent. NOSECAMO is made with Real Pine Oil which Tom says is why it is so effective. Since camouflage is all about blending into your surroundings it follows that smelling like your surroundings to the greatest extent possible should help the overall camo effect and help to hide you from game.

Do I believe this? Well yeah actually I do. I've been using my own version of this same idea for many years but unlike Tom never thought to market it. I also don't have Tom's background in chemical cleaning and so don't know what else he has in there in the way of "secret ingredients" I've never even thought of using in mine. I've been using a pine oil based cleaner of my own making for a long time and while I have no scientific proof it works I like it and have no intentions of stopping its use because I can't prove it helps. It does give a pine smell to the clothes and since pine or at least some type of evergreen with a similar odor is common to the woods most of us hunt in I can't help but think that is going to be of some measure of help in hiding from game. I'm not foolish enough to believe you can ever completely hide from the sensitive nose of a deer but every little bit helps.

So I've now used the bottle of NOSECAMO that Tom sent me for trial and have to report that I like it. Does what he claims it does and does it well. After use your clothes will have a fresh pine scent to them and if you follow his advice and use the bag for storage then it will last well until you get out in the field. Using his recommendation and mixing some up in a bottle for occasional reapplication in the field will help keep that fresh pine odor about you while hunting. How could I not like it? It is an idea I've been using for the last 10 years or more in my own hunting. Try it and you'll like it. Good stuff.

NOSECAMO gets the Graybeard Seal of Approval the the big old thumbs up for a quality product that works as it should.
